Hubert Grimonprez wants to produce a painting for people. A painting that is easy to access. He strives to create paintings that are dynamic, positive, energizing and sometimes enigmatic.
His recurring themes are lines, verticality, women, faces, departure and skies. His major artistic influences are Victor Vasarely, René Magritte and Paul Delvaux. In almost all his paintings, there is a human presence. His work is an invitation to travel
First exhibition
Her first exhibition took place at Caen Normandie in January 2016, and it was also her first sale.

… at the age of 15 and then resumed painting at the age of 52 after a commercial career.
Born in Belgium
Hubert Grimonprez was born in Schaerbeek in 1962. He was trained in the art of drawing and painting at the renowned Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels.
